Discover Abercych

Abercych village developed from a number of small settlements along the west bank of Afon Cych, which flows into the River Teifi nearby, giving the village its name, meaning “mouth of the Cych”. This small village is made up of locally owned businesses, one of which brews its own beer.

Nearby you can find Cenarth Falls. The falls are a stretch of greenery-covered rocks on the River Teifi, interspersing several small waterfalls and pools in drier seasons, turning to a dramatic view of amazing floodwaters in the rainy season. They are also well-known for the salmon leap, when the salmon travel to their spawning ground upstream. The next town over is Newcastle Emlyn, a delightful historic market town found nestled within the stunningly beautiful Teifi Valley

The Preseli Mountains are are an ideal location for some great walking away from the coastline. For the best views in Pembrokeshire, pull on your sturdy shoes and explore the landscapes wild moorland, heath and grassland. You won’t get another view like it anywhere else.
