Gwaun Cottage is a memorable holiday retreat for two; transformed into a stylish yet cosy one-bedroomed romantic hideaway with glorious views extending across the Teifi Valley to the Preseli Hills beyond. Fabulous at any time of the year. but especially so when admiring the sunset on a warm evening with a chilled glass of your favourite tipple and that special someone!
The cottage is a detached, single-storey former hay barn at Penwern Fach Farm – all the old outbuildings have been similarly converted, offering six quality holiday cottages on a ten-acre smallholding. Communal gardens, lawns, a golf practice field, a play area, and an enclosed wildlife pond provide interest for all.
Gwaun Cottage is only a mile and a half away from the quaint little village of Cenarth, famous for its waterfalls and salmon fishing. The market town of Newcastle Emlyn with shops, cafés, and historic castle ruins is a short drive away.
It is less than 15 minutes drive to the spectacular coastline of Cardigan Bay with sandy beaches, seaside villages, and the spectacular Ceredigion Coast Path which runs for 60 miles from Ynyslas to Cardigan. In a surprisingly central position, the cottage is the ideal base for exploring all that Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion have to offer – from dolphin spotting to long, lazy afternoon strolls.
ACCOMMODATION
Gwaun Cottage sleeps 2 in 1 double bedroom and with the accommodation on one floor, may suit guests with restricted mobility

OUTSIDE
Small enclosed front patio with outdoor furniture and firepit. Communal shared grounds include a fenced pond (children must be supervised), BBQ, rotary washing line, large dog exercise area, games room with pool table, table football and Connect 4, plus outdoor table tennis and giant chess. There is also a play tower with swings, slide and sand pit, and a large area for children to play football, please ensure children are supervised. A private golf practice area is available on site (golf balls and clubs not provided). Guests can also meet the two resident donkeys, Stan and Ned, who are a favourite with both children and adults. Parking for 2 cars.
