Nestled on a charming farm in the beautiful countryside near Crymych, north Pembrokeshire, Golchdy is a comfortable detached cottage perfect for a family holiday, walking, or couples looking for a peaceful and relaxing break.
Chickens roam around the farm, sheep and cattle can be seen in the fields with the Preseli Hills forming a backdrop. Nearby, the Crosswell Horse Agency offer treks and tuition for all ages and the Dyfed Shire Horse Farm (10 minutes) is very popular for a family day out. The moorland slopes of the Preseli Hills beckon for countryside walks and exploring.
The Pembrokeshire coast is within a short drive: walk the Coast Path, play on the sandy beaches of Newport and Poppit, try coasteering or sea kayaking, or take a boat trip to spot the beautiful wildlife, including bottlenose dolphins and seals.
Poppit Sands, located near St. Dogmaels, is known for its expansive sandy shore, ideal for family outings, walking, and water sports, and is the northern starting point of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Newport Sands, also called Traeth Mawr, is near the town of Newport and features a wide, sandy beach backed by dunes and a golf course, making it a favourite spot for swimming, windsurfing, and enjoying scenic views of the surrounding hills and estuary. Both beaches offer stunning natural beauty and are part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Two market towns, Cardigan (15 minutes) and Newcastle Emlyn (30 minutes) are nearby. Each has shops, cafes, pubs and a castle, offering a taste of Welsh life and a laid-back atmosphere.
