The Shack is a large well-equipped sunny house, set on one level, within a lovely private garden located in the beachside village of Aberporth on a private road just 100m from the beach. It was originally a small shack used by the owner’s grandfather as a place to stay when coming from South Wales to fish in Aberporth.
The village of Aberporth features 2 beautiful sandy beaches, 1 public house/restaurant, cafés, an Indian takeaway, a convenience store, a chemist and a Post Office. It was the first village in Wales to become ‘plastic-free’, with businesses and residents contributing to the campaign.
Just a 10-minute drive away is the historic market town of Cardigan with its restored award-winning castle, plenty of shops, cinema and a great choice of places to eat. In the summer, Pizza Tipi is a great place to visit down by the River Teifi.
The Ceredigion Coast Path passes through the area, providing wonderful walks featuring beaches, hidden bays, towering cliffs and rocky headlands. Watch out for dolphins in the bay and rare sightings of harbour porpoises.
