Ocean View

Below is detailed information for the Ocean View Ground Floor Cottage Apartment. It is intended to describe the property and to provide information on transport and parking. Much more information can be found in the Welcome Book upon arrival.

Pre-arrival:

• Customers receive arrival information 7 days before check-in. Upon check in there is a Welcome Booklet at the property. Check-in is not before 3pm.
• We have a self-check-in system. Keys are left in a secure black box next to the front door. A combination pin number is e-mailed and/or texted to guests 7 days prior to arrival to access the box.
• We do not provide a transfer service to and from the property. However, if guests arrive by public transport, it is possible to get a taxi from the main railway station or the main bus stop in Haverfordwest. The journey is approximately 20 minutes to the property/Little Haven.
• While the guests are here, there is a daily limited bus service (311) into Haverfordwest. More information is in the welcome book in the cottage. Also, there is a local taxi service, called ‘Jones Coastal Taxi’ Tel 07984 696404.
• Mobile phone reception: There is a good mobile signal in the village and the property.
• Internet access: There is good internet and wi-fi available on the premises.
• Grocery deliveries: Tesco and Morrisons do home deliveries should the guests wish to order prior to arrival for when they are here. Also, there are takeaways from various restaurants, details are in the welcome booklet.

Arrival and car parking:

• Unloading at the entrance. Unloading is at the bottom of the cottage footpath approximately 20 meters from the apartment front door. 
• Parking – Once you have unloaded, parking is at the village car park just a minutes’ walk away. There is a complimentary free parking ticket for the duration of the guests stay. This is left on the kitchen table for the guest to use and return.
• Entrance surface – The initial off the road platform at the entrance is concrete, followed by a block paved path sloping upwards to the front terrace, which is also block paved. On the way up the path there are 5 spaced out steps with white painted handrails on the left.
• Lighting – At night the path is lit with 3 floor level lights that are sensitive to movement.

Inside:

• The cottage apartment is all on one level on the ground floor and has no steps. The hallways, kitchen and bathroom have contemporary and modern floor tiles, while the bedrooms have concrete floors and are covered with luxury vinyl flooring. The lounge floor is wood with luxury vinyl flooring. All of this gives the entire apartment a fresh cool environment in the summer months and in the winter a wood burner makes it warm and cosy.
• All the rooms have spotlights in the ceilings. Bedrooms and lounge also have side lamps at various locations.
• The main bedroom has plenty of room around the beds, while the smaller twin/double bedroom has access all around the beds.
• The second bedroom is configurable as a double or a twin as required by the customers. It can either be two 2’ 6” single beds or joined and zipped up as double.
• The master bedroom has space for a cot or alternatively the lounge also has more than adequate space to place a cot at nights.
• Both the 42” television and the ROKU device are remote control. The ROKU device makes the television a Smart TV with all the apps, such as iplayer, Netflix, BTSport, SKY, NOW TV, etc.
• Most people eat outside on the terrace while enjoying the weather and the views.
• The kitchen is a fully integrated modern kitchen with all the appliances and has granite worktops. It is also the dining area with a table and 4 chairs.
• The appliances include an eye-level position Microwave. Fridge and separate Freezer, Dishwasher and Washing Machine/Dryer. The oven is under the granite worktop with the hob above it. The grill is inside the oven at the top. There is also a cordless kettle, Cafetiere, tea coffee and sugar.
• A welcome pack is provided which includes milk, orange juice, Welsh cakes and flowers.
• The bathroom is also modern and new. It has a toilet, hand basin with cabinet and a wide bath with stand-in shower, which has excellent water pressure. Hot water is provided through a hot water tank system that is programmable.

Outside:

• Garden enclosed – Entire shared terrace is block paved with safety glass balustrade and an iron gate to exit. 
• Seating. There is a garden table and 4 chairs, plus a garden bench.
• A BBQ is available and is located in the back courtyard accessed from the kitchen.
• Hazards – There are no hazards, the terrace is an enclosed area, however, the exit gate is closeable, but not lockable.
• Play areas – Other than the terrace there is no children’s play area. However, Broad Haven (next village) just half a mile away has children’s playgrounds.
