A stone’s throw from Llangrannog beach, set in a sleepy terrace on a lane that is hardly used by traffic, Maelfa Crannog Isaf sits beside the tiny River Hawen. The perfect base for a relaxed holiday by the sea.
The Ceredigion Coastal Path dips down to the village from both sides of the beach. The neighbouring cliffs and headlands to the resort of Llangrannog provide stunning views to walkers along with the chance to spot the wildlife of Cardigan Bay such as chough, red kite, grey seals, dolphins and porpoise to name but a few.
Set beside the small River Hawen, the completely renovated cottage is just a short walk from the village amenities, which include 2 cafés and a pub.
Other places of interest up and down the coast include the tiny village of Tresaith, the popular fishing harbour of New Quay, from where you can tour the bay by boat, and the colourful Georgian town of Aberaeron, full of charm. The National Trust beaches of Penbryn and Mwnt are well worth a visit, too.
