Pre-arrival

• There are excellent transport links as Newport is on the main route between Fishguard and Cardigan
• There is variable mobile signal though we find our EE reception is excellent. There is a public pay phone in the village
• There is Free WiFi
• Electric vehicle charging in any way is not supported at the property. There are charging facilities at Long Street car park in Newport village. This is 2 streets away from the property – a 2 minute car ride/ 10 minute walk
• We welcome well behaved dogs and kindly ask that all dog waste is disposed of either in a dog waste bin or bagged up in a bin bag and placed in the general household waste when leaving the property.

Arrival and car parking

• Carreg Coetan cottage has a traditional latched gate to a gravel driveway on a slight incline upwards. You can drive right up to the patio

Inside

• There are two 4 inch steps up to a large, level patio which leads to the entrance door which is 29 inches wide and has a small double-glazed ridge to step over
• The entrance door takes you into the kitchen past the cooker which restricts the access to 20 inches at the narrowest point of the passage
• The kitchen worktop is 3 feet high. Wall cupboards are at approximately 56 inches high and house the crockery and food storage. Cooking essentials such as saucepans etc are kept in the large cupboard under the worktop. The fridge and freezer are under the counter. The cooker is free standing, and the hob is at worktop height, 3 feet.
• All doors are standard 29/30 inches wide and have a small wooden plank rise of 4 inches wide and 1/4 inch high where carpet rails would be. The exception is the door to the toilet which is 26 inches wide and has no carpet rail/wooden plank. Each door has a lever handle
• There is wide access to the main living room, We can remove the 2 rugs on request, and the central area is approximately 8 feet x 6 feet and has a coffee table which we can remove if required. There is a nest of 3 tables too. The 42-inch TV/DVD player is remote controlled. The two 2-seater settees both have high backs and arm rests – the dining chairs do not. The circular dining table seats up to 6 and there are 2 carver chairs in the bedrooms which can be used if preferred. Trays are available. The windowsill is at 26 inches high allowing very easy access to open windows 
• The bathroom has a sink 3 feet tall. The bath is 65 inches long, 27 inches wide, 20 inches high. There are grab rails on the bath itself and also one on the wall. Maximum floor space is approximately 4 feet x 4 feet. The toilet is accessed through the bathroom and has its own door 26 inches wide. Maximum clear foor space is approximately 30 inches wide x 3 feet. The toilet is 17 inches high. • All taps throughout the property are the traditional cross-lever type
• In the double room there is a clear walk around the bed. From the door side at 30 inches wide around to the window wall which is 19 inches wide. The bed height is 21 inches. The windowsill is at 41 inches, the dressing table stool at 17 inches
• In the twin room, the space between the beds is 20 inches and they can be moved further apart if necessary. The width either side of the twin beds to the walls is also 20 inches. The beds are 22 inches high; the dressing table stool is 17 inches, the windowsill height is 34 inches

• The garden has open fencing around the entire garden. Solid wooden swings to accommodate 3 children/adults (use at own risk)
