Man fishing in lake

Rhydlewis is a countryside village just inland off the coast of Cardigan Bay. A peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The village is the home of Hawen Welsh Independent Chapel which was built (originally) in 1747 and is still functioning. This was the inspiration for “Capel Sion” in the book of the same name by the eminent Welsh writer Caradoc Evans.

Rhydlewis is a wonderful fishing area due to the Rhydlewis Trout Farm & Smokery which was established over 20 years ago and is a 3 acre pool stocked with rainbow trout.
