1. Lollies Traditional Sweet Shop, Tenby

Lollies is a treasure trove of all things sweet. Vibrant sweet jars line the walls in this traditional store, offering everything from nostalgic classics and handmade fudge to luxury Belgian chocolate – and we haven’t even mentioned the ice cream yet!

2. Pointz Castle Ice Cream, Solva

The ice cream at Pointz Castle is made on-site at this farm on the Pembrokeshire Coast. A pleasant walk from the beach below the farm, this is the perfect stop on a coastal path walk or a day exploring the beautiful nearby Newgale beach.

The shop offers a constantly changing roster of luxury gelato flavours, with favourites including Ferrero Rocher, Jaffa Cake, Eton Mess, Lemon Sorbet and much more. You will also find baked goods, drinks and milkshakes available on the off-chance you’re not feeling like ice cream.

3. The Scoop, Milford Haven

A family-run gem, The Scoop uses milk from local Steynton Farm to craft their mouth-watering ice cream. With over 20 flavours, including Jammy Dodger, mango and pineapple, and cookies and cream, there’s something for everyone.

The shop also offers dairy-free and doggy ice cream, alongside coffee and milkshakes. Set right on the marina, this is an idyllic spot to indulge in good food and watch the world go by.

4. Fire & Ice, Narbeth

Alongside their wide range of ciders, spirits and craft ales, Fire & Ice, set in the heart of Narberth, also sells a fantastic selection of artisan gelato and sorbet. Head for some truly unique flavours like pink grapefruit sorbet and mango lime & chilli jam sorbet, as well as the tried and tested favourites.

The gelato is made with organic Welsh cream, and some of the sorbet options include alcohol infusions for the adults in the family.

5. The Hive, Aberaeron

Famous for its honey ice cream, The Hive in Aberaeron has been a local institution for over 40 years. Their ice cream is made with real honey and comes in unique flavours like melon and ginger or gooseberry and elderflower.

Enjoy your cone with a view of the river Aeron and the picturesque harbour. As a fully-fledged bar and kitchen, you can also indulge in a delicious sit-down meal after a day exploring the nearby beaches.

6. Angelato, Aberaeron

Angelato is another Aberaeron-based shop. The charming, family-run parlour makes authentic Italian-style gelato using traditional methods and local ingredients.

Beyond basic ice cream in a cone, you can also enjoy bubble waffles, pancake stacks and sundaes with an array of toppings. Desserts like brownies and doughnuts are also available as well as coffees and hot chocolates, making this a great one-stop shop for everyone with a sweet tooth.

7. Creme Pen Cei, New Quay

This gelato hotspot in New Quay boasts over 30 flavours made fresh daily on site. Creme Pen Cei offers everything from classic favourites to more spectacular combinations like cherry cola fizz, peanut butter cookie, rocky road and rainbow unicorn!

They also serve waffles, milkshakes, and Fairtrade coffee, making it an essential stop for any sweet treat lover.

8. The Pink Cow, Aberystwyth

Set up the road from the Royal Pier Arcade and the beaches, The Pink Cow is the ideal place to stop on a day of seaside fun. Choose from all the best ice cream flavours, as well as sorbets and milkshakes, with vegan options available.
