Mae’r Eisteddfod Genedlaethol 2026 yn dod i Llantwd, Sir Benfro, rhwng 1af a’r 8fed o Awst y flwyddyn nesaf!

Mae Llantwd mewn lleoliad gwych ar gyffordd tair sir – Sir Benfro, Ceredigion a Sir Gaerfyrddin. Mae hyn yn gwneud yr Eisteddfod yn fan delfrydol i archwilio gorllewin Cymru. Mae Sir Benfro’n enwog am arfordir godidog a traethau enwog, mae gan Geredigion drefi glanmôr hudolus a threftadaeth ddiwylliannol gyfoethog, ac mae Sir Gaerfyrddin yn enwog am y cestyll , trefi marchnad llawn bwrlwm a cefn gwlad moethus  . Fe gewch chi’r gorau o’r tair sir ar garreg eich drws pan yn aros yn agos ir Eisteddfod.

Gyda chymaint i’w archwilio ar draws Sir Benfro, Ceredigion a Sir Gaerfyrddin tra byddwch chi yma’n ymweld – mae ein bythynnod clyd yn fan llety delfrydol ar gyfer eich ymweliad, ac maen nhw’n llenwi’n gyflym!

The National Eisteddfod 2026 is coming to Llantwd, Pembrokeshire from the 1st to the 8th of August next year!

Llantwd sits in a fantastic location at the meeting point of the three counties, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire. This makes the Eisteddfod the perfect base for exploring a wide area of West Wales. Pembrokeshire is famed for its breathtaking coastline and beaches, Ceredigion offers charming seaside towns and rich cultural heritage, while Carmarthenshire is known for its rolling countryside, castles, and market towns. Staying nearby means you’ll have the best of all three counties right on your doorstep.

With so much to explore across Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire — from historic towns and riverside villages to stunning beaches and rolling countryside, our cosy cottages make the perfect base for your visit, and they’re filling up fast!

Aberteifi (Cardigan)

Tref hanesyddol yw Aberteifi, lle cynhaliwyd yr Eisteddfod gyntaf erioed 850 o flynyddoedd yn ôl! Dim ond 5 munud mewn car mae’n cymryd i gyrraedd safle’r ŵyl y flwyddyn nesaf. Mae’n lle gwych i gariadon bwyd – o’r Hen Printworks gyda’i wobr Michelin i’r Pizza Tipi byrlymus a chroesawgar – mae rhywbeth at ddant pawb. Ar ôl diwrnod o hwyl yn yr Eisteddfod, ewch i archwilio Castell Aberteifi neu fwynhewch sioe yn theatr y Mwldan – adloniant i’r teulu cyfan.

Mae Madiwela, bwthyn moethus arfordirol yn Gwbert, ger Aberteifi, ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 6).

Cardigan is a historic town where the first-ever Eisteddfod took place 850 years ago! It’s a quick 5-minute drive to next year’s festival site. Food lovers will be in paradise here—from the Michelin-accredited Yr Hen Printworks to the warm and inviting Pizza Tipi, there’s something for everyone. After indulging in festival fun, you can explore Cardigan Castle or catch a show at the Mwldan theatre for some family entertainment.

Madiwela is a luxury coastal cottage in Gwbert, near Cardigan, which still has availability for 1st-8th August (Sleeps 6).

Llandudoch (St Dogmaels)

Yn agos at Aberteifi mae pentref hyfryd Llandudoch sydd ar lan yr afon Teifi, dim ond taith fer mewn car o Llantwd. Peidiwch â anghofio Traeth Poppit, un o’r traethau mwyaf prydferth  – a chyfeillgar i gŵn yn yr ardal! Ewch am donut a choffi blasus yn Crwst Poppit wedyn.

Ar ôl diwrnod yn yr Eisteddfod, mwynhewch bryd blasus yn y Ferry Inn, gyda golygfeydd bendigedig dros yr aber.

Mae Mabbitts Horn, sy’n agos iawn i  Draeth Poppit, ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 7, 2 gi).

Not far from Cardigan lies the charming riverside village of St Dogmaels, only a short drive from Llantwd. Don’t miss Poppit Sands, one of the area’s beautiful dog-friendly beaches! Grab a delicious doughnut and coffee from Crwst Poppit afterwards. And after a day at the Eisteddfod, enjoy a lovely meal at The Ferry Inn, right by the water, with stunning views of the estuary.

Mabbitts Horn, which is just a short walk from Poppit Sands, still has availability for 1st-8th August (Sleeps 7, 2 Dogs).

Trefdraeth (Newport)

Dim ond 10 munud mewn car o Llantwd mae Trefdraeth – tref arfordirol hyfryd. Mae Llwybr Arfordirol Sir Benfro’n rhwydd i fynychu o Draeth Trefdraeth – traeth hardd arall lle mae croeso i gŵn. Mae Cat Rock Café, gyda’i olygfeydd dros y tywod, yn gweini brecwast a chinio blasus. Mae’r Golden Lion yn y dref yn gwneud cinio Sul ardderchog. Hefyd gallwch ddarganfod siopau unigryw a diddorol i archwilio.

Mae Derwen House, yng nghanol Trefdraeth, ar gael rhwng 31 Gorffennaf–7 Awst (cysgu 6, 1 ci).

Just a 10-minute drive away from Llantwd is Newport, a lovely coastal town. You can easily access the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from Newport Sands, another beautiful beach where dogs are welcome. Cat Rock Café, perched overlooking the sands, serves scrumptious breakfasts and lunch. You’ll find a delicious Sunday roast at the Golden Lion in town, plus a treasure trove of unique shops and antique finds to explore.  

Derwen House, in the heart of Newport, still has availability for 31st July-7th August (Sleeps 6, 1 Dog).

Cenarth

Wedi’i leoli ar gyffordd tair sir, mae Cenarth yn bentref  hyfryd dim ond 20 munud mewn car o Llantwd. Ewch am dro  ar hyd glan yr afon a mwynhewch  Rhaeadr Cenarth, sy’n enwog am eogiaid yn neidio! Mwynhewch de prynhawn yn Tŷ Te neu galwch i mewn i’r The Deli am nwyddau lleol.

Mae Hirwaun Cottage, ar fferm ger Cenarth, ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 4).

Cenarth, nestled at the crossroads of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire, is a lovely quaint village just a short 20-minute drive from Llantwd. You can take a delightful riverside walk and enjoy the sight of the famous Cenarth Falls, known for leaping salmon! Treat yourself to afternoon tea at Tŷ Te or pop into The Deli for local goodies.

Hirwaun Cottage is on a smallholding near Cenarth and still has availability for the 1st-8th August (Sleeps 4).

Aberporth

Dim ond 20 munud o maes yr Eisteddfod, mae Aberporth  – pentref arfordirol hyfryd gyda dau draeth euraidd  – perffaith ar gyfer adeiladu cestyll tywod neu roi cynnig ar chwaraeon dŵr. Cadwch lygad am ddolffiniaid ar hyd Llwybr Arfordirol Ceredigion! Mwynhewch gwrw a byrgyr yn The Boy Ashore neu ewch i fwyta yn tafarn Y Ship gyda golygfeydd anhygoel dros y bae.

Mae Gwyn For Beach Apartment, sy’n edrych dros y traethau hardd, ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 2).

Just 20 minutes from the Eisteddfod is Aberporth, a delightful seaside town with two golden beaches perfect for building sandcastles or trying out some watersports. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins along the Ceredigion Coastal Path! You can relax with a beer and burger at The Boy Ashore or enjoy the stunning views while dining at The Ship.

Overlooking the beautiful beaches is Gwyn For Beach Apartment, which still has availability for 1st-8th August. (Sleeps 2)

Castell Newydd Emlyn (Newcastle Emlyn)

Mae Castell Newydd Emlyn yn safle delfrydol i archwilio’r Eisteddfod a’r ardal gyfagos. Er ei fod ar y ffin rhwng Ceredigion a Sir Gaerfyrddin mae’r dref dim ond 20 munud mewn car i’r ŵyl. Crwydrwch y stryd fawr fywiog, llawn siopau annibynnol, a mwynhewch dro ar lan yr afon o amgylch adfeilion y castell Normanaidd. Mae The Bunch of Grapes yn cynnig bwyd traddodiadol a diodydd amrywiol, neu gallwch ddewis o’r nifer o gaffis yn y dref.

Mae Cinnamon Cottage, ger Castell Newydd Emlyn, ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 4, 1 ci).

Newcastle Emlyn is an excellent base for exploring the Eisteddfod and its surroundings. Although located on the border of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, it’s just a 20-minute drive to the festival. Stroll down the lively high street filled with independent shops and enjoy riverside walks around the historic Norman castle ruins. The Bunch of Grapes pub offers traditional pub grub and a variety of drinks, or you can choose from the many cafes in town.

Cinnamon Cottage, located near Newcastle Emlyn, still has availability for the 1st-8th August (Sleeps 4, 1 Dog).

Ceinewydd (New Quay)

Ychydig ymhellach, ond yn werth chweil – mae Ceinewydd  – perl arfordirol sydd yn enwog am dolffiniaid trwyn potel ( bottlenose). Gallwch eu gweld o’r harbwr neu gallwch fynd ar daith gwch i’w darganfod!  Mae’r tri traeth hardd yn berffaith ar gyfer torheulo, chwaraeon dŵr neu pysgota am crancod. Ar ôl diwrnod o hwyl, mwynhewch hufen iâ o Crème Pen Cei neu pysgod a sglodion o The Lime Crab.

Mae Sailhouse Loft, sydd â golygfeydd panoramig dros harbwr Ceinewydd, ar gael rhwng 31 Gorffennaf–7 Awst (cysgu 4).

A bit further out, but definitely worth it, New Quay is a coastal gem famed for its resident bottlenose dolphins. You can spot them from the harbour or on a boat trip! The three beautiful beaches are perfect for sunbathing, watersports, or crabbing. After a day of fun, grab an ice cream from Crème Pen Cei or enjoy fish and chips from The Lime Crab.

Porthgain

Wedi’i leoli ar arfordir Sir Benfro, mae Porthgain yn harbwr llawn swyn – yn fan perffaith i ddianc ar ôl diwrnod yn  yr Eisteddfod. Mwynhewch lwybrau arfordirol gyda golygfeydd gwych, archwiliwch weddillion y diwydiant chwarela, a mwynhewch bryd yn y Sloop Inn neu sglodion o The Shed. Mae Porthgain wedi’i leoli’n gyfleus ar gyfer ymwelwyr yr Eisteddfod, dim ond 45 munud o Llantwd.

 Mae Tŷ Dewi, ger Porthgain, ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 4, 2 gi).

Porthgain, situated on the Pembrokeshire coast, is a charming former industrial harbour that’s perfect for a peaceful holiday escape. Visitors can enjoy coastal walks with breathtaking sea views, explore the remnants of its quarrying past, and dine at the renowned Sloop Inn or enjoy fresh seafood at local eateries. Porthgain is conveniently located just 45 minutes from Llantwd for Eisteddfod visitors.

The coast at Fishguard

Abergwaun (Fishguard)

Dim ond 25 munud o Llantwd, mae Abergwaun yn dref arfordirol hanesyddol,  llawn cymeriad. Ewch i weld  ‘Tapestri yr Ymosodiad Olaf’, sy’n adrodd hanes ymosodiad olaf ar Brydain dros 200 o flynyddoedd yn ôl! Gyda harbwr prysur, sîn gelf fywiog, a thafarndai croesawgar fel The Royal Oak, mae Abergwaun yn fan gwych i archwilio arfordir Sir Benfro.

Mae Langton Farmhouse, ar fferm ger Abergwaun, ar gael rhwng 31 Gorffennaf–7 Awst (cysgu 6, 2 gi).

Just 25 minutes from Llantwd, Fishguard is a charming historic coastal town full of character. Check out the ‘Last Invasion Tapestry’ that recounts the last invasion of Britain, over 200 years ago! With a working harbour, a vibrant art scene, and friendly pubs like The Royal Oak, Fishguard is a fantastic base for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast.

Langton Farmhouse, tucked away on a farm near Fishguard, still has availability for 31st July-7th August (Sleeps 6, 2 Dogs).

Solfach (Solva)

Mae Solfach yn bentref harbwr prydferth yn Sir Benfro, llawn swyn a chymeriad, tua 50 munud mewn car o’r Eisteddfod. Ar lanw isel, mae’r aber dywodlyd yn berffaith ar gyfer gerdded a phicniciau, tra bod y llwybrau arfordirol cyfagos yn cynnig anturiaethau . Mwynhewch fwyd môr lleol, cacennau Cymreig, a thafarndai clyd fel y Cambrian Inn. Gyda’i gyfuniad o harddwch naturiol, treftadaeth gyfoethog, a golygfa fwyd fywiog, mae Solfach yn lle delfrydol ar gyfer dihangfa  hamddenol.

Ar gyrion pentref Solfach mae St Brides View, sydd dal ar gael rhwng 1af–8fed Awst (cysgu 4).

Solva is a picturesque Pembrokeshire harbour village full of charm and character, a 50-minute drive from the Eisteddfod. At low tide, the sandy estuary is perfect for walks and picnics, while nearby coves and coastal paths offer scenic adventures. Enjoy local seafood, Welsh cakes, and cosy pubs such as The Cambrian Inn. With its blend of natural beauty, rich heritage, and vibrant food scene, Solva is an ideal spot for a relaxed coastal escape.

On the outskirts of Solva village is St Brides View, which still has availability for 1st-8th August (sleeps 4).
