About

Carmarthenshire - 6.5 miles-Est. 3h 30m

Just north of Carmarthen. Much on surfaced tracks and lanes. Steep woodland on the side of the river Gwili was coppiced in the past. There’s a steep climb to the top of Cerig Fawr, where views are good and there is Iron Age fort on summit. Other important neolithic monuments are at Crug, near Newchurch.
