The first fishery to introduce carp into Pembrokeshire. The original lake has been joined by a further, increasing total surface area to close on 3 acres. Several varieties are present and include commons, leathers, many to over 20 lbs and grass carp, record 29 lb. You will not find any traffic noise, nosy day-trippers or other pollutants, both lakes have well-manicured open banks with easy access. Although there are no fixed pegs, visitors will find this more of an asset than otherwise and there is the additional facility of being able to take your car almost to the water’s edge nearly all around the main lake. This is an important consideration for disabled anglers, who should find it a convenient and safe venue. Some awesome bags have been achieved at Llyn Carfan, and not only with carp alone. Large roach and rudd are plentiful and there are a few tench of a respectable weight to give some variety. The mix is the same in both lakes. Weed is minimal but low shore-side reeds, flowers and rushes provide a hunting ground for late afternoon cruisers. The whole fishery is a haven for all sorts of wild life, particularly birds. With maximum depths to over 14 foot, good winter fishing is assured. Matches and night fishing can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Night fishing is by appointment only and is charged at a double the day rate.

You do not need to be an angler to enjoy the natural beauty of this new CC park. The touring van pitches are on hard standing and enjoy views of the pond.
