*NEW PROPERTY*
Bryn Y Gog is a fantastic, large, detached house situated on a working farm, set within its own one-acre enclosed garden and enjoying beautiful views over the market town of Tregaron, Ceredigion. The property also boasts magnificent panoramic views of the Cambrian Mountains, making it an ideal retreat for families, groups of friends, and anyone looking to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Welsh countryside.
There are many wonderful walks right from the doorstep, allowing guests to explore the surrounding countryside without needing to drive. An ancient Iron Age fort, located on the farmland, is just a five-minute walk from the house and offers a fascinating glimpse into the area’s rich history. The region is a true walker’s paradise, with countless footpaths, scenic trails, and opportunities to spot local wildlife. Bryn Y Gog is also close to the Cambrian Mountains Astro Trail, with Hostel Ty’n y Cornel in Llanddewi Brefi being the nearest Dark Sky Discovery Site, making it a perfect destination for unforgettable stargazing on clear evenings.
The house is just a 10-minute walk from the charming market town of Tregaron, which sits on the western edge of the Cambrian Mountains and serves as a gateway to many sites of natural beauty and historical significance across West Wales. The town’s attractive market square is surrounded by characterful buildings, including the 13th-century Talbot Hotel, a former drovers’ inn that is famously said to have an elephant buried in its grounds.
While in town, browse the independent shops, relax in one of the welcoming cafés, or enjoy lunch and a drink in one of the town’s three traditional pubs.
For a day by the coast, the university town of Aberystwyth is within easy reach, offering a Victorian promenade, sandy beach, independent shops, and the famous funicular railway to the summit of Constitution Hill, where spectacular coastal views await.
