Mother’s Day in West Wales is magical. Mother’s Day is a day to ensure your mum feels special, loved and cared for. But sometimes it is hard to think of ways to really show how much you love her, especially on this special day. If this is exactly how you’re feeling – don’t worry. Afternoon Tea

Treating your mum to afternoon tea is not only a treat for her but a treat for you! And what better way to say ‘I love you’ than with food? To pinpoint the best afternoon tea place in West Wales would be hard, however, one restaurant that is loved by many is Foam. At Foam, you will be served a selection of sandwiches, sweet treats, savouries and scones. Now that sounds delicious. Not only are you served incredible afternoon tea, but Foam is located on Milford Haven waterfront in Pembrokeshire, so you also get an incredible view too!

National Botanic Garden of Wales

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a massive playground for nature lovers. Making it a perfect place to take your mum this Mother’s Day. They have a handful of events throughout the day such as delicious cream tea in the Great Glasshouse, with an incredible harpist. They also have two amazing flying displays where you’ll be able to see the birds of prey flying and showing off their natural skills. Or, if you are wanting a hands-on task, there will be a Mother’s Day Workshop throughout the day. Make a soy wax candle and melts in your own decorated jar. Add your own scents and colours to create your unique design. What a lovely day out!

Beach Walk

Sometimes all you need to show your mum you care for her is to spend some quality time with her. And what better place to spend time with your mum than on a charming, sandy beach in West Wales? Enjoy 300 miles of coast path, sandy beaches and rocky headlands with views out across the crashing sea. A lot of our beaches in West Wales are dog-friendly too, so no need to leave your dog at home on this special day. Why not explore beaches such as Penally, Freshwater West, Newport Beach, Poppit Sands and Pendine.
