With love in the air, we’ll take you through some of the most romantic places to explore whilst visiting Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion or Carmarthenshire. We are positive you will love them.

Barafundle Bay

Barafundale Bay in Stackpole, Pembrokeshire is listed as one of the most romantic places in Wales, whilst also being labelled as the prettiest beach in the UK. And there is no better place to spend our Valentine’s Day with your loved one than on the most charming beach in the UK. Not only does it have golden sand and clear waters, it is also right next to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which provides you with stunning views. Barafundle Bay is sheltered by towering cliffs, making it an ideal spot for couples to enjoy some privacy. If you get to the beach early enough you can see one of the most incredible sunrises across the water.

Vale of Rheidol Valley

All aboard… your romantic train ride awaits. Your journey starts in Aberystwyth and ends at Devil’s Bridge. Throughout your time on the Vale of Rheidol railway, you’ll get to go through the stunning Rheidol Valley and charming Welsh countryside and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the incredible Welsh wildlife living within the valley. We can’t imagine anything more romantic than a journey, getting to see the wonderful countryside of Wales. Can you? And if you want it to be extremely romantic, you can book the whole train and charter your own private journey with your loved one.

Llyn Y Fan Fach

Llyn Y Fan Fach in English translates to ‘little lake near the peak’ however, once casting your eyes on this lake, it is anything but little. This lake lies on the northern margin of the Black Mountain in Carmarthenshire, whilst also lying within the Brecon Beacons National Park. If you and your partner are avid walkers, then this location is the best spot for you guys to spend Valentine’s Day, with many footpaths running through the area, you are on track to see some of the most beautiful views. Once arriving at the natural wild water sanctuary which graces an 18-metre-deep pool, if you are brave enough to face the cold water, you can take a swim.

Bosherston Lily Ponds in bloom

Bosherston Lily Ponds

Bosherston Lily Ponds is one of the most scenic circular walks that Wales has to offer and don’t worry it leads you to the stunning Broad Haven south beach as well – which is definitely worth a little detour from the walk. While the walk does take around 40 minutes to the beach it is not a strenuous trek, instead, it is a lovely leisurely walk for you to take in the incredible lily pond. What more could you possibly need to ensure you have a perfect Valentine’s Day than a lovely scenic walk and a beach? To us, it sounds ideal!
