Tenby Boat Trips

Tenby Boat Trips are wildlife-focused operators, giving you the option of three different boat excursions for a fun day out! However, all trips make a point of locating and spending time with the seals while travelling around the Atlantic side of Caldey Island as well as the dramatic and wildlife-rich South Pembrokeshire Islands. Take your pick of a Seal Safari, Island Ranger or RIB trip.

The Seal Safari will have two highly qualified and local guides giving you in-depth knowledge of the island’s wildlife. Sometimes the seals swim so close to the boat you can almost reach out and touch them how incredible!

The Island Ranger is a 1-hour 15-minute passage taking in some of Pembrokeshire’s most dramatic offshore islands. On this boat trip, you can view thousands of birds including puffins, razorbills, cormorants and gannets. You will cruise the famous pirate Paul Jones’s bay before crossing to the protected bird reserve of St Margarets Island.

Finally, the RIB tour is a more personal boat trip with a maximum of 12 people per charter. The one-hour trip travelling around the islands and spending some time with the Grey seals.

SeaMor Dolphin Watching

SeaMor Dolphin Watching is a guided Dolphin Watching Boat Trip throughout Cardigan Bay. Departing in the picturesque fishing village of New Quay and guided by qualified marine biologists and enthusiastic skippers and crew ensuring you are provided with excellent service. SeaMor Dolphin Watching provide three different tours, 1 Hour Dolphin Watching Tour, Half Day Charter and Sunset Trip.

1 Hour Dolphin Watching Tour is a slightly shortened version of their most popular Wildlife Explorer cruise. The team drive through the local dolphin hotspots and past the massive bird colonies and sea cave, whilst taking it nice and gently to maximise the chances of seeing wildlife.

For the Half Day Charter, hire a commercially coded and licensed motorboat Islander for a fabulous day out for the whole family. You will observe seabirds, seals, porpoises and go dolphin spotting with a marine biologist and swim and snorkel and have lunch on a remote beach. Doesn’t that just sound like a dream?

The final tour they offer is the Sunset Trip, whilst their sunset tours take the same route as their daytime tours, it does, however, have a higher dolphin sighting rate. The best place to see the sunset in New Quay is at sea – so you definitely won’t be disappointed.
