Newport, Pembrokeshire is one of Wales’s most desirable holiday spots, and it is not hard to understand why so many families and couples love it. If you want to explore the stunning West Wales coast, Newport is home to two lovely beaches, Newport Sands and Newport Parrog.

Food in Newport

Newport is a foodie paradise, so start your day right and have a delicious breakfast at PWNC. Enjoy it in peace whilst the kids enjoy the climbing wall room! Once refuelled, it’s time to explore. Newport town is full of fantastic independent shops such as Ffynnon, a gorgeous home interior store, and Newport Collective Gallery, a gallery showcasing local makers’ art. After exploring the town in the morning, treat yourself to lunch at The Golden Lion Hotel. The burgers are incredible! Or, try some beautiful stone-baked pizzas at The Canteen Newport. You can even get this as a takeaway and enjoy it down at the beach!

Discovering Newport

And if you are wanting to explore both beaches, you can walk from the Parrog to Newport Sands beach. Afterwards, reward yourself with a coffee, cake and incredible views at the Cat Rock Café.

Or are you fancying a meal perfect for the whole family? Llys Meddyg Hotel has delightful food, oh and did we mention it is dog friendly as well.
