Half Term Halloween Activities in Pembrokeshire
1. The Big Bang at Saundersfoot Harbour
When: 24th, 25th & 26th October 2025
This annual event combines Halloween and Bonfire Night excitement in one weekend with a range of attractions set by the sea. Head here for pumpkin carving, spooky trails, funfair rides and an impressive fireworks display to end the night on Saturday.
2. Pumpkin Picking at Pembrokeshire Pumpkin Farm
When: 11-30th October 2025
For an unbeatable autumn experience, head to this pumpkin patch and enjoy a spot of pumpkin picking! A fantastic family activity, a trip here offers a great chance to don your wellies and start the hunt for the perfect pumpkin ready for carving. The spooky barn also offers more Halloween fun as well as a craft market.

3. Spooky Trail at Picton Castle Gardens
When: 25th-29th October 2025 (from 10am-4pm)
Experience the changing seasons up close with a stroll around the stunning Picton Castle Gardens, boasting an abundance of enchanting natural and historical beauty. During half-term, the gardens host a spooky Halloween trail, alongside seasonal decorations and crafts. On the 30th and 31st, you can also embark on a wand-making workshop to take a piece of the magic home with you!
4. Spooky Fun at Folly Farm
When: 25th October – 2nd November 2025
Folly Farm is a fantastic attraction to visit at any time of year, but it gets an extra fun Halloween makeover in October. Exclusive half- term events and treats include treasure hunts, creepy creature meet and greets, Venoms vs Poisons zoo talks, special Halloween treats and various workshops and exciting things to see around the park. Fancy dress is encouraged!
5. Haunted Henllys Trail at Castell Henllys
When: 25th October – 2nd November 2025
Castell Henllys is a replica Iron Age village offering a treasure trove of historical exploration and a chance to get out and about in a beautiful woodland environment. The site hosts several spooky activities during half-term, including a haunted trail, where you must search for spirits and monsters to claim a prize. The village site closes for the year at the beginning of November, so a half-term trip here could be your last chance to visit before it opens up again in spring.

6. October Events at Carew Castle
When: Throughout October half-term
Carew Castle can always be counted on to host an array of autumnal and Halloween events. Kick off the holidays with a Pumpkin Patch Adventure (25th-2nd) for a chance to explore the castle while on the hunt for clues, or brave the Creepy Mill haunted house experience (25th-2nd). Other events include an interactive story experience (27th-29th) and a family-friendly ghost tour (28th-31st), ideal for ensuring younger children can join the fun.
7. After Dark at Heatherton World of Activities
When: 27th-31st October 2025
For a night of frights and thrills, head to Heatherton, which gets a spooky makeover in half-term. Explore the Haunted Harvest Hedge Maze at your peril, with roaming scarecrows and Halloween scares around every corner. Or, head to the Pirate-themed mini golf course to test your swing under the moonlight! Food and on-site refreshments are available throughout the evening to keep you fuelled for plenty of fun.
8. Halloween Fun at Clerkenhill Adventure Farm
When: 25th, 26th & 31st October
Clerkenhill will also be primed for Halloween fun during half-term with a family-friendly haunted house, a Halloween quiz and a prize for best fancy dress – so get your spooky costumes at the ready! Kids will love getting immersed in the spooky stories (held at 12 and 2pm on these days), not to mention various themed games, prizes to be won and the usual frisbee golf.

Half Term Halloween Activities in Carmarthenshire
9. Halloween at Pembrey Country Park
When: 25th-31st October 2025
Pembrey Country Park is a natural haven combining stunning parkland, woodland and Cefn Sidan beach. There’s loads to do during half-term, including the Pumpkin Trail, where you must search for clues in the spooky woodland. You can also embark on a bit of Spooky Crazy Golf, which offers a spooky twist on the game with eerie glows and Halloween surprises. If you’re feeling really brave, the Zombie Trail on the 30th is the one for you!

10. Potion Trail at Carmarthenshire Museum
When: 25th October – 2nd November 2025
Learn all about medieval Carmarthenshire through the lens of mysterious potions and remedies. Here, you must follow the potion trail around the museum to discover the lost ingredients needed to brew a healing potion, solving clues and puzzles along the way. The perfect family-friendly activity, this is a fantastic way to keep curious minds active and get into the Halloween spirit.
11. Mystery at the Museum at Carmarthenshire Museum
When: 28th October 2025 (5:15pm and 6:45pm sessions)
Also hosted by the museum is this spooky evening of investigation and fun. Step into the eerie, after-hours atmosphere of the museum and help recover a legendary book to save the building from ghosts and ghouls. Follow a trail of clues to banish the mischievous ghosts and take back the museum! This event is ideal for children 11+.
12. Glowing Spider Jars at the Museum of Land Speed
When: 29th October 2025 (11am-1pm)
Get crafty at the Museum of Land Speed in Pendine with this unique craft that’s perfect for Halloween time. This craft uses recycled jars, fairy lights and a few creepy crawlies to create magical, spooktacular lanterns to take home. The price of the activity is included in your admission to the museum, so there’ll be plenty more to explore and discover once you’ve had your crafting fun.
13. Bee Wild Club Activities at the National Botanic Garden of Wales
When: 27th-31st October 2025
The National Botanic Garden of Wales has a half-term schedule packed with activities and adventures, with something to intrigue everyone. Get creative with Creepy Crawly Crafts and make all sorts of Halloween creations from magic willow wands to flying bats. Or, stir up something tasty with a Cooking on the Cauldron session, unleashing your inner witch! Half-term activities are free with garden admission.

Half Term Halloween Activities in Ceredigion
14. Half Term at Llanerchaeron
When: 29th October – 2nd November 2025
Llanerchaeron is a National Trust property near Aberaeron. Here, you can explore a Georgian villa complete with rich parkland, historic farm buildings, scenic views and walks around the walled garden. During half-term, you’re encouraged to roam the estate and embark on the Scarecrow Trail, with plenty of things to spot along the way. The house will also be decorated for autumn to help you enjoy the season.
15. Twilight Trail at RSPB Ynys-hir
When: 30th October 2025 (4pm-6pm)
Ynys-hir is a nature reserve next to the Dyfi estuary that offers some wonderful family walks. Here, you embark on a guided tour, heading out at dusk to explore the woodland and wildlife trails. Look out for a range of creatures and explore a hidden world. This event is great for learning more about local wildlife and their habits, and is ideal for children aged 4-11 years. Along with the walk, you’ll also have fun with themed games and hot chocolate around the fire to warm up.

16. Spooky Mountain at the Silver Mountain Experience
When: 27th-31st October 2025
During half-term, this restored 19th-century tin mine is transformed into a Halloween haven for the whole family. Explore atmospheric settings and encounter Welsh myths and legends in the interactive walkthroughs with just the right level of spookiness for families. Four themed areas, including the Count’s House, the Enchanted Forest, the Witch’s Potion Lab and the Ghost Hunter, provide an array of exciting Halloween experiences for everyone.
