The Stables is at Cryngae Mawr, a beautiful old former farm and working mill which has now been newly transformed into a stunning range of renovated holiday cottages. The Old Dairy which sleeps 6, The Coach House, perfect for two, and The Stables which sleeps 5, have all been refurbished to the highest of standards, whilst retaining as much of the original character as possible with partly exposed stone walls and beautiful old beams. They have brand new kitchen and bathroom suites, dishwashers, TVs, DVD/VHS machines and oil-fired central heating. Cryngae Mawr nestles amongst 30 acres of lush green pastures at the end of our very own private lane. This is a perfect location, combining the peace and tranquility of the countryside with close proximity to the nearby beaches and coastlines. You can walk to your heart's content along coastal paths, breathing in the fresh sea air, or just watch for the dolphins and seals. The main stable door leads into a lovely lounge with huge ceiling beam, tiled floor, slate window seat with exposed stonework and pine staircase to the upper floor. The lounge has lovely furnishings, a flat screen TV with DVD player incorporated, CD player and under-stairs cupboard which houses the washing machine and has plenty of room for storage. Off the lounge is the kitchen diner, a lovely pine kitchen and panelled dining area with large pine table and chairs. There is a large ceiling beam, slate window seat and exposed stone wall, some original cobbles have been added to the stone work. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, fridge/freezer, oven-hob, dishwasher and coffee maker. The upper floor which was the hay-loft has a stable door that leads down the original slate steps to a lawn area. The Main bedroom with an en-suite shower room has a dormer window overlooking fields and the village. A large metal bed, antique furniture, wooden floors, beams and exposed feature wall, make this a delightful room to relax in. There are two smaller bedrooms both with wooden floors and exposed beams; one has a single bed, the other has two twin beds. Both have antique furniture and dormer windows over looking the farm house. The family bathroom is fully tiled. It has a bath with an overhead power shower, velux window and beams. This unique cottage is heated with oil fired central heating and is a lovely, cosy and peaceful place to stay. To the front of the cottage is a patio area with a feature slate seat set into the flower border wall, a perfect sun trap in the summer. For keen fishermen, our lake is brimming with rainbow trout. There is also a Koi Carp pond nestled in private woodland adjacent to the cottages, with a picnic area for the sunny days. You can eat outside surrounded by nature, listening to the sound of trickling water from the nearby pond and its waterfall. Beds will be made up with crisp cotton sheets and luxurious quilts, fluffy towels will be provided upon your arrival, cots available on request. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement as this is prime cattle and sheep country. There is an extra charge of £20 per week for a pet.
