Reethi Cottage in the hilltop village of Llansaint enjoys stunning coastal views of Carmarthen Bay. You can sit on the balcony and watch the world go by with spectacular views to Worm's Head, and on a clear day, Lundy Island is visible. Stargazers will be amazed at the clarity of the night time sky.

Llansaint is a tranquil 11th century village with a renovated lime washed church with bell tower which can be seen for miles around. There are many fine walks from the cottage and surrounding countryside, including a walk to the beach down 'Cockle Way'. The village was once famous for its cockle ladies who supplied cockles to Swansea and Carmarthen markets.

The village has two good pubs, one was voted CAMRA Pub of the Year 2007 and both serve food and have occasional entertainment, including a monthly 'Poets and Pints' Evening. The nearest beach is 2 miles away at Carmarthen Bay, which has donkey rides in the summer season. At Ferryside beach, 2.5 miles away there are stunning views across the River Towy to Llanstephan Castle and the local fish restaurant, the Ferryside Cabin, is highly recommended.

Reethi Cottage is convenient for Pembrey Country Park with its award winning Blue Flag beach Cefn Sidan, the longest beach in Wales, the Millennium Coastal Park within the National Cycle Route (47), the Pembrey Motor Sports Centre, the National Wetlands Centre and Ffos Las Racecourse. Other attractions include the Dylan Thomas Boathouse at Laugharne, golf courses, fishing, cycling, horse riding, castles and the 'Gardens of Wales' to explore.

Reethi Cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin on the first floor and 1 double on the ground floor, which also has an en suite toilet and wash hand basin. The large family bathroom is on the first floor with bath and shower, toilet and wash hand basin. The main double bedroom has access to the balcony so you can enjoy stunning sea views from the comfort of your bed. The large comfortable living room has a traditional log burner, TV/DVD with digital freeview, a CD/radio player and WiFi access is available.

The south facing kitchen dining room seats 6 and has a large patio door giving direct access onto the enclosed garden, where there is an outdoor table, seating and barbecue. The kitchen has all modern conveniences including electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, George Foreman grill, TV and CD/radio player.

The pretty cottage garden is enclosed by stone walls and there is a bench and more seating at the bottom of the small lawn to take advantage of the views where the cows graze in the adjoining field. Bicycles can be stored in the garden, which has a separate access to a side lane. Parking for 2 vehicles is conveniently provided on the hard standing at the front of the cottage.

Bed linen, towels, oil fired central heating and electricity are included in the rental but please bring your own beach towels. Two sacks of logs and kindle sticks for the log burner will be provided so you may have to purchase more, if required. No pets are allowed or smoking in the cottage.

Llansaint is an idyllic hilltop hideaway from which to explore Carmarthenshire, and South West Wales. You are sure to find a welcome to warm the cockles of your heart in our friendly village.
