Recently refurbished and decorated converted 18th century Coach House. This cosy upside down cottage is situated in quiet picturesque valley on the owner’s small working sheep farm; horses are also kept on the farm. Slate and stone steps take you to the open plan living area on first floor maximising pleasant views of countryside and owner’s ponds. This is an idyllic location for those wishing to enjoy tranquil quiet countryside, within easy reach of the natural sandy beaches and quiet coves of the Pembrokeshire coast. And close to the start of Pembrokeshire Coast Path and Preseli Hills for spectacular hiking. There is abundant wildlife: badgers and foxes are seen regularly on and around the farm, dolphin and seals can be seen off the coast, and there are plenty of birds for watchers to enjoy including red kites. There are plenty of activities in the area, such as golf, horse riding, fishing, kayaking, and thrilling boat trips as well as cruising. There are historical sites wonderful scenery and seaside towns to visit, all within easy reach. Cardigan town has plenty of take away restaurants, interesting shops and pubs, a two screen cinema and indoor swimming pool. There are several good restaurants to choose from which use local produce. Turnout and stabling for two horses is available on the farm. There are bridleways nearby, quiet country lanes and beach riding and adjacent hunting for winter riders including bloodhound meets on Sundays. The owner is happy to advise on all of the above and provide information as required. Various events take place through out the area such as food fairs, open gardens, agricultural shows, village events and concerts. The Coach House sleeps 4 in 2 ground floor bedrooms: one double bedroom and one bedroom with full size bunk beds. The ground floor bathroom is compact with a shower over the bath, toilet and small vanity unit. The open plan living area is on the first floor with spiral staircase to ground floor. The kitchen has a built in oven and hob, storage cupboards, fridge and microwave. The lounge diner has vaulted beamed ceiling with views to countryside, furnished with sofas, TV and DVD player, coffee table and dining table to seat 4. The cottage is centrally heated throughout with an oil fired boiler also supplying hot water on demand. Outside is a grassed area with table and chairs and storage shed for bicycles. Parking for two cars close to cottage linen provided except towels. Well behaved dogs are welcome at a charge of £25 per dog per week, no smoking is allowed inside the cottage. Basic groceries at cost price can be supplied ready for your arrival, if requested. The cottage is ideal for those wishing to unwind and relax and experience life in the slow lane, in a very peaceful part of Wales. Not suitable for very young or infirm due to spiral stairs. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 4 weeks before the start of the holiday. Dogs are charged at £25 per week.
