Castle Green stands in a small quiet cul-de-sac virtually in the shadow of the Norman castle in Newport Pembrokeshire. This Grade II listed 18th-century cottage adjoins a similar cottage and has been renovated to take a step back in time, to encompass the character and charm of its early life. Newport village shops, pubs and restaurants are just 150 yards away. The village lies at the foot of the magical Carningli mountain and is an ideal location for walkers exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and National Park. The sheltered bay and estuary are popular for sandy beaches, sailing and water sports and sea and river fishing. There is an eighteen hole golf course with stunning views and a choice of riding stables within easy reach offering trekking across the Preseli Hills and pub and beach rides.

Castle Green sleeps up to four in two bedrooms, one double on the first floor and one on the ground floor with a stacker bed sleeping one adult or two children. The comfortable living/dining room retains its cottage ambiance with a Welsh dresser and gas range (feature only) but a TV is available to maintain contact with the modern world! The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave and washing machine. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and has a roll-top bath with shower attachment, wash basin and toilet.

Outside there is off-road parking for two cars and a small rear enclosed courtyard (with garden furniture and BBQ) with garden beyond. Electricity and bed linen are included as is the first £5 gas for the cooker and gas central heating, the remainder by £1 meter. Towels may be hired at £5 per person. A cot and highchair are available on request. Castle Green can accommodate one well-behaved pet at a cost of £18 per week. The cottage is strictly non-smoking.

Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the rental (or £120 whichever is the greater) is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please add £18 per week per pet. Please pay the deposit within 7 days. Payment methods accepted: online bank transfer, cheque, paypal. We will send you an email with this information when you book.
